This is a trick in your PC to Prohibit any user (Even Admin OR YOURSELF) to access your Folder....Because not everyone knows this trick.

Our Mission:-
We'll will lock the folder from all the users... Even your Self, Because we know that not every time though we are admin and we have our personal account....!!!

So, We will prohibit that folder from everone... Even Ourselves. Don't worry we will unlock them too

Steps:-

1) Go to "Folder Options" > "View" >
There is last option called "Use Simple File Sharing (Recommended)". Remove check from it.... then click "OK".

2) Go to the Properties from which you want to remove access.

3) Go to tab "Security". There are listed "User Names" who can access that folder as written under: "Group OR Usernames"

4)Remove Check from....
"Inherit from Parent the permissions entries that apply..................."
> Click "Remove."

5) Click OK.

Now, try to access that folder, you will not be able to access it....


Steps To Make it Normal:-

1) Just Go to Property > Security > Advanced >
& check that option again of
"Inherit from Parent the permissions entries that apply..................."

2) Click OK. Now you should able to access your folder again..

You can also add your users only from Property > Security > Advanced > Add > Advanced > Find now > "Select User"..

1. Disable the Autorun Option in your CD Rom Drive:
Open your Registry and navigate to "HK_L_M\system\currentcontrolset\services\cdro m"
Change the value of 'Autorun', or create a new DWORD value if it doesn't already exist, and set the value as '0' for Autorun disabled.

2. Disable the Harddisk Lowdiskspace warning in Windows Xp
User Key: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\Explorer"
and
System Key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Policies\Explorer"
create a new DWORD 'NoLowDiskSpaceChecks' and change its value to '1'.

3. Disable the Windows Key

Create a new Binary value, or modify the existing value called 'Scancode Map' as shown below.

5. Change the Title of Windows Media Player

Create a new string value called ' TitleBar' and change text as your wish.

6. Disable Internet access in Network
Open Registry and make the following changes
"KH_C_User\software\microsoft\windows\currentversi on\internetsettings\"
Change the value of "Proxyenabled" to 1 and change the value of "proxyserver" and set it to an ip address. Change the value of the ip address and port to "10.0.0.1:5555"

7. Disable the ability to Right click on the desktop

Create a DWORD "NoViewContextMenu" and change its value to "0" for disabling and "1" for enabling.

8. Hide all items on desktop

"HK_L_M\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\ policies\explorer\"
create a new DWORD "NoDesktop" and change its value to "1"
You can show all the items in the desktop by chaning the value to "0"


9. Disable the "Change Password" button in windows

and

10. Disable the "cancel" button or pressing the "Esc" key while logging on to Windows"

To lock your XP works-tation with just two clicks of the mouse.
First create a new shortcut on your desktop using a right mouse click, and enter 'rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation' in the location field.
Name the shortcut whatever you like.
Then just double click on it and your computer will be instantly locked. The Windows key + L also does the same thing.

Most of us have this problem, Sometimes when virus attack our computer it disable the “Show hidden files and folders” option than even if we select the option Show hidden files and folders from the folder option window, the changes just disappear upon closing the dialog. It is because virus has attacked your registry file. So here is the solution to the problem:-

Go to Run than type regedit and click Ok.

Find the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersion
ExplorerAdvancedFolderHiddenSHOWALL

Look at the “CheckedValue” key. This should be a DWORD key. Check its value If the value is not 1 than make it 1.
If “CheckedValue” key is not there than Create a new key called “CheckedValue” as a DWORD (hexadecimal) with a value of 1.

Now open My Computer, on the toolbar go to Tools > Folder Option and click on the View tab.
The “Show hidden files & folders” will work properly!!!

Error message:Your system is low on virtual memory

Virtual memory is a part of the hard disk that Windows uses like extra memory. Ifthis message appears in Windows XP, check that it is being managed properly.

Virtual memory, also known as a page file or swap file, is a file on your hard drive (C:\pagefile.sys by default) that Windows and applications use in addition to physical memory (RAM) as needed. The default and recommended size of this file is 1.5 times the amount of physical memory. Virtual memory is the sum of physical memory and the page file. So if your computer has 512 MB RAM, it will have a 768 MB page file by default, for a total of 1.25 GB of physical + virtual memory.

To determine which application is causing this problem.Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to access Windows Task Manager. Navigate to Processes tab. Here you can see the list of all the processes running in your system.Click View, Select Columns

Now you can check the Virtual Memory usage in your Processes tab. Click the top of the VM Size column to arrange the processes by their VM Size from largest to smallest.

Every application will use more memory the longer you keep it open. This is one reason that Windows becomes more and more unresponsive the longer you keep it running, and why you end up eeding to restart your computer periodically.

Following is a method by which u can convert any folder into either Control Panel, Recycle Bin, My Computer or Internet Explorer.

This is done by adding their respective registry keys to the folder's name. After this when you'll double click on the folder, either Control Panel, Recycle Bin, My Computer or Internet Explorer will open according to your choice. Actually that folder is then treated by Windows as a link to any of these four. Your folder will remain intact with all its data and no one can access that folder via Windows. It can only be accessed via Command Prompt or some third part app.

To Convert Folder Into Contol Panel, Rename With Adding

To Convert Folder Into Recycle Bin, Rename With Adding

To Convert Folder Into My Computer, Rename With Adding

To Convert Folder Into Internet Explorer, Rename With Adding

Eg:- If you have a folder ABC, to convert it into Control Panel, rename the folder as
ABC.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} After this, the key should disappear and act as an attribute.

To re-enable your folder to be accessible via Windows, go to command prompt and rename the folder there. Eg:- If the folder is in C:\Temp\ABC, then get to C:\Temp in the command prompt and type:
REN ABC.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} ABC
(Command Prompt supports CLIPBOARD. Copy-Paste will work there.)
Your folder will be back to normal state.

Note that this does not provide a reliable security to the data. It can be used just to prevent data from other novice users accessing your PC.

Many fake-folder softwares work by this method. You can also search the registry for more relevant keys like these.
